NEA provides programs and resources to elevate the diverse lived experience of eczema, help patients and caregivers understand their disease, actively engage in their care, find strength in one another, and improve their lives. Additionally, NEA advances critical eczema research and partners with key stakeholders to ensure the patient voice is represented and valued in education, care, and treatment decision making.The eczema community is at an exciting juncture, with increased recognition of the seriousness and burden of eczema and a surge in scientific interest and development of new treatments.Reporting Structure: The Manager, Social Media reports to the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications.Salary: $70,000 - $80,000Job SummaryThe Manager, Social Media is a key member of the Marketing & Communications team, responsible for leading NEA's organic and paid social media strategy across all platforms. Under the leadership of the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications, this role partners with program teams to develop audience-centered campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, advocacy, fundraising, event participation, and organizational visibility.As NEA's primary social media professional, this individual serves as the organization's subject matter expert for social strategy, community engagement, paid social advertising, creator partnerships, and platform best practices. The role develops compelling content, manages NEA's online community, executes paid campaigns, measures performance, and identifies opportunities to grow audiences and deepen engagement.This full-time position is FLSA exempt and eligible for remote work. Some travel may be required for in-person NEA meetings.Primary ResponsibilitiesSocial Media StrategyDevelop and execute NEA's organic and paid social media strategy across all major platforms.Create annual and campaign-specific social media plans aligned with organizational priorities.Identify emerging trends, platforms, and content opportunities.Content DevelopmentDevelop, write, schedule, and publish engaging social content.Translate integrated marketing campaigns into platform-specific content.Create light graphic design assets in Canva or Adobe Express.Produce and edit short-form videos for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook.Community ManagementManage day-to-day community engagement across all channels.Monitor comments, messages, and mentions while escalating issues appropriately.Conduct social listening and identify opportunities for engagement.Paid SocialPlan, execute, and optimize paid social campaigns.Manage advertising budgets, targeting, testing, and optimization.Measure campaign performance and recommend improvements.Analytics & ReportingTrack KPIs including engagement, audience growth, traffic, conversions, and ROI.Develop monthly dashboards and executive summaries.Use insights to optimize future campaigns.CollaborationPartner with cross-functional teams to support campaigns and initiatives.Collaborate with the Manager, Creative & Design to adapt creative assets for social platforms while maintaining brand standards.Create and maintain social media projects and workflows in project management.Identify influencer, creator, patient advocate, and partner collaboration opportunities.Required Skills and AbilitiesExcellent writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills.Strong understanding of platform best practices and social media trends.Experience with Meta Business Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and paid social advertising.Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media management tools.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.Knowledge of accessibility best practices for social media.Passion for NEA's mission and patient advocacy.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of experience managing organic and paid social media.Demonstrated success growing audiences and engagement.Experience creating graphics and short-form video content.Experience with analytics and reporting.Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, patient advocacy, or mission-driven organization preferred.Physical Requirements This position is performed in a remote home office setting and/or in person in the NEA office and requires prolonged periods of computer use, participation in virtual meetings, and the ability to carry out essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.The National Eczema Association offers an attractive benefits package to the qualified candidate.
