Global Marketing VP Fractional - Part-time Our client is seeking an experienced Fractional Global Marketing VP to provide executive leadership support during the Vice President of Global Marketing's maternity leave. This role is designed to provide continuity of leadership across the Global Marketing function while acting as a strategic advisor, executive coach and operational partner to an established team of senior marketing leaders. Working approximately 20 hours per week, the successful candidate will support seven direct reports across New Product Development, Product Management, Creative Services, Communications, Marketing Operations and Digital Marketing, helping remove barriers, develop leadership capability and ensure strategic initiatives continue to progress. A key component of the role will be providing executive oversight into our client's global ecommerce transformation, with a strong focus on content management systems, sales funnels - conversion optimisation and revenue growth. The successful candidate will also conduct an independent review of the Global Marketing organisation, identifying opportunities to strengthen the team's structure, processes and operating model, while providing regular executive updates and recommendations to the Vice President throughout the maternity leave period. The objective is not only to maintain business continuity, but to leave the Global Marketing organisation stronger, more scalable and better positioned for future growth.Responsibilities:Executive Leadership & Team CoachingConduct weekly 1:1 meetings with direct reports.Coach leaders in strategic thinking, prioritisation, communication, stakeholder management and decision-making.Support leaders in overcoming organisational and project challenges.Build leadership capability across the Global Marketing function.Encourage accountability while empowering leaders to make effective decisions. Provide executive guidance on complex business challenges.Strategic Project OversightProvide executive oversight and guidance across major strategic initiatives, including:New Product DevelopmentProduct Portfolio ManagementCreative ServicesGlobal CommunicationsMarketing OperationsDigital MarketingEcommerce TransformationMarketing Transformation initiativesSupport directors and project owners by providing strategic guidance and practical problem solving while maintaining project momentum.Ecommerce & Digital GrowthProvide executive leadership and strategic input into LifeWave's ecommerce initiatives and digital growth strategy. Working closely with the Digital Marketing, Ecommerce and IT teams, responsibilities include:Reviewing ecommerce strategy and execution with relevant director.Providing executive guidance on customer experience improvements.Reviewing customer journeys and identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates.Advising on website architecture and digital user experience.Reviewing process for website governance.Reviewing lead generation and customer acquisition strategies.Advising on sales funnel optimisation from brand awareness through to customer conversion.Identifying opportunities to improve commercial performance using digital best practices.Process Improvement & Operational ExcellenceReview existing marketing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, governance and scalability. Areas may include:Marketing planningResource managementProject governanceCreative workflowProduct ManagementMarketing OperationsCross-functional collaborationExecutive reportingDecision-making frameworksDocumentation standardsMarketing governanceSupport directors in implementing practical improvements where appropriate.Marketing Function Gap AnalysisConduct an independent assessment of the Global Marketing organisation, including:Team structureLeadership capabilitySkills and competency gapsResource allocationOrganisational effectivenessRole claritySuccession planningFuture capability requirementsOpportunities for organisational improvementDeliver a prioritised recommendations report for review before the Vice President's return.Executive AdvisoryAct as a trusted advisor to the Vice President of Global Marketing throughout the maternity leave by:Providing concise weekly executive updates.Highlighting key risks and organisational issues.Escalating significant decisions requiring executive input.Sharing observations on team performance and effectiveness.Recommending improvements to projects, people and processes.Providing objective executive insight and strategic recommendations.DeliverablesDuring the engagement, the successful candidate will deliver:Weekly executive updates to the Vice President of Global Marketing.Leadership advice for seven direct reports.Monthly strategic project health reviews.Executive oversight of key ecommerce initiative.Marketing Function Gap Analysis.Marketing Maturity Assessment.Process improvement recommendations aligned to industry best practice.Recommendations to strengthen the Global Marketing operating model.Final executive report summarising observations, recommendations and future priorities.Comprehensive transition and handover document before completion of the contract.Qualifications:Previous experience as a Vice President of Marketing, Chief Marketing Officer or equivalent executive marketing leader.Experience leading global marketing organisations.Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex global organisations.Strong background in digital marketing and ecommerce.Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website governance.Strong understanding of digital customer journeys, conversion optimisation and sales funnels.Experience using data and analytics to improve marketing and commercial performance.Proven experience improving marketing operating models, governance and processes.Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking capability.Highly DesirableExperience within health & wellness, consumer products, medical devices or direct selling.Experience leading ecommerce transformation programmes.Previous experience as a fractional executive or executive consultant.Fluent written and spoken English.Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Working PatternFixed-term contractor for approximately 10-12 months.Approximately 20-25 hours per week.Flexible working arrangement.Due to the global nature of the role, regular overlap with both European and North American business hours is essential.Availability to work approximately two days per week until 9:00 pm Irish time to support collaboration with the North American business.Remaining hours may be worked flexibly.Executive Assistant support will be provided for diary management, meeting coordination and administration.
